notchu is a shared care log for a pet, made by FAMILIA d.o.o. This page explains what the app stores, where, and who can see it, and what this website counts.
Everything is stored on your device and in your own iCloud account, using Apple's CloudKit. When you invite someone to your pet, the pet's records are shared with them through iCloud sharing, and they see the same entries you do. When you remove them, or they leave, the sharing stops.
notchu has no server of its own. We cannot read your log, your photos or your pet's name. Apple's iCloud terms apply to the data held in iCloud.
When you log something, notchu writes a short note to iCloud, "Maja logged poop" with the pet's name, under a random household identifier, and iCloud pushes it to the other caregivers' phones. That note holds no photos, notes or times, and it is deleted after a day. notchu does not send notifications through any service of its own.
To see where people get stuck, the app counts a few milestones: a pet was set up, an invite was made, an invite was accepted, something was logged, the Plus screen was seen, Plus was bought. Each count is one small note in notchu's iCloud database holding the milestone's name, the app version and the day. It holds no name, no pet, no household and nothing that ties two counts to the same phone, and it is sent once per install. iCloud itself records which iCloud account wrote a note as an opaque identifier; notchu does not read or use it. No analytics company is involved.
notchu Plus is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple handles payment and keeps the purchase record; notchu only learns whether the purchase is active. When you buy Plus, the pet's shared record is marked as unlocked so everyone sharing the pet benefits. No payment details reach notchu.
notchu.com counts visits with Plausible Analytics. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It records the page you opened, the site you came from, your country, the kind of device and browser, and whether you followed a link out of the site, such as the App Store button. Your IP address is used only to tell one visitor from another within a single day and is not kept. The numbers are totals. They cannot be tied to a person, and they have no connection to anything in the app.
Delete the pet in the app, or leave the household, and its records are removed from your iCloud account and your device. Deleting the app removes the local copy. Records shared with you by someone else stay with them.
notchu is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
